Snowflake Summit 2025 is just around the corner (June 2-5). Whether you are a first-time attendee or a veteran, the scale of the conference can be overwhelming.

Here is my guide to getting the most out of it.

1. The Strategy: Breadth vs. Depth#

There are 400+ sessions. You cannot see them all.

  • Breadth Strategy: Go to the keynotes/general sessions to see “What is new”.
  • Depth Strategy: Pick one track (e.g., “AI & ML” or “Data Engineering”) and attend every deep-dive session in that track. You will leave as a subject matter expert.

2. Hands-on Labs are Golden#

The “Hands-on Labs” usually fill up fast. Book these immediately when the schedule builder opens. There is no substitute for sitting with a Snowflake Product Manager and breaking their new feature in real-time.

3. The Hallway Track#

The best value often isn’t in the rooms; it’s in the hallways.

  • Data Superheroes: Look for people with the blue capes. They love to chat tech.
  • The Expo Hall: Don’t just grab swag. Ask vendors “How do you integrate with Iceberg?” Watch them sweat or shine.

4. Predictions?#

What do I think we will see?

  • Native Apps 2.0: More complex monetization models.
  • Iceberg default: A push to make Iceberg the default table type for new accounts.
  • Agentic AI: A massive focus on autonomous agents driven by Cortex.

Conclusion#

If you see me at Summit, come say hi! I’ll be the one drinking too much coffee near the dev booth.
